I just inherited our SolarWinds Orion environment and was immediately asked what the following error means: A license check failed. This product has not been licensed. Go to the Windows Start menu and run 'SolarWinds Orion -> Netflow -> License Netflow.

When I review the specified menu, the popup displays that "Your Software License Key is Installed!"

Hi mandg,

What version of Orion and NTA are you on?

Can you see what your Orion and NTA licenses are? Launch license Manager. Does your NetFlow module match the Orion SL number?

Thanks, Andy- but I give up- where/how can I locate the "license Manager"?

My mistake - License manager is only available in Orion 9.0 and up. To check your license before 9.0 you have to call customer service. I guessing that you may have inherited a license mismatch.

I have also suffered the 'License Error' Bug. It seemed to happen after I installed SP3 - not sure if this is relevant.

I am running NPM 8.5.1 with the Eval copy of NTA v3.0
