Although NPM 9.1 hasn't officially shipped yet, we've provisioned the bits in your customer portal (if you have maintenance). You can download it now. This is the final package, not beta, so there's no need to wait. Support is ready to take calls on it, so for you it's just as a good as GA. We're making it available a little early for folks who frequent Thwack--a little reward for participating in the community.
NPM 9.1 is a great release and an easy upgrade from 8.5 or 9.0. Go check it out.

The release notes will be ready at GA with a full list of bug fixes.
Just installed it and it looks great. Nice ESX features. I had written a poller to give this info, but having it come right out of the box is a nice feature. Look forward to further enhancements.
By chance, did you add the ability to include graphs in reports?
Talk about timing.... I just asked Josh Stephens (head geek) on a teleconference a few minutes ago - the answer was no.
He said the reports were strictly tabular.
No. Not in 9.1. It's on the list. We'll get there.
Happy to see some web performance improvements so quickly - I thought that this would be some way off!
Searching within Node Management is also a great plus for us.
Dave.
Nice work guys -- this is the best release yet. The first thing I noticed was the responsiveness of the website. It's definitely leaps and bounds better than before. I also love the addition of the node management buttons on each node, as well as the ability to edit custom properties. Keep up the good work!
Do you have the VoIP module installed? If so, have you installed VoIP 2.0 SP3?
Hi
I agree. This is a vast improvement over V9.0. Node management rocks now. It's certainly easier to get moving with it. Esx details are great. No need to pull my custom universal poller now on this.
However still see that Netperfmon is not stopping correctly and think it's the same as V9, so don't see the improvement.
Web is a little more responsive at the moment. But I still find it slow when going into Netflow analysis and some node detail screens.
Julian
Lee - yes I do have the VoIP module installed and haven't yet installed SP3 (I didn't actually realise it was available).
Will get this done ASAP - easy to fix if I had examined the error message provided a little more closely!
So far so good with v9.1. Love the ESX monitoring out of the box. One-step editing of pages is much more streamlined. The biggest improvement is the web node management..love search.
Keep up the good work...my biggest things still not included are AD/Radius/Tacacs Authentication and ability to parse out info from Traps. But again..good work so far.
The ESX addtions are great... We run 90% of our windows environment on ESX, about 100 VM's. How about taking it a step further and addiing the ability for Orion to monitor the ESX VMFS file syatem out of the box. I have a custom poller that does this, which isn't working after the upgrade... but it would sure be nice if Orion did this on its own.

When was this released? Any news on VoIP 3.X?BB
SP3 was released last week, I think. You can get it here: ftp://ftp.solarwinds.net/VoIP/ServicePack/VoIP2.0-SP3.zip
The next version of VoIP is in the works.

I have to agree with Brian on the need for AD/Radius Authentication. Is this something we'll see for 9.1?
No. 9.1 shipped last week. AD authenticaiton is something we're planning for the next major version.

Excellent, this will be very useful, could you make sure there is the ability to add permissions/settings to users based on their AD security group memberships please...
