Is there any reason why the Solarwinds TFTP server won't install on Windows Server 2003 x64 and is this something that will be resolved in the not so distant future?

Alterego - we are looking to add 64bit support to the free tools in the near future.

You guys have been using the "near future" line now since at least mid-2007 (see Google). Meanwhile, we've seen more of the same, and I'm sitting here with a computer that shipped with Vista x64 and 8 GB of RAM that can't run the Engineer's Toolset or many of the free tools.

Time to get up to speed, gentlemen.

We really need x64 support for the free TFTP server on Win 2003 as well. With all of our new servers supporting the net mgt apps being 64-bit, it's going to be hard to justify keeping a 32-bit server around just to provide this function.

Am I wrong, or is this update still not out? If it's not, can we get an ETC on what "real soon" means?

Thanks

And, I don't need the whole Engineers Toolkit, just the x64 TFTP server. I'd even be prepared to pay a fair price for it !

You could download the Engineer's Toolset eval, and play with all the new goodies.  When it expires, the TFTP server should still work.  You know you want to try the new v10 with Workspace Studio.  C'mon, the first one is always free =)
