I have a problem. I have Orion 9.2 service pack 2. Orion poller, Website, and Alerting is running on a VM that is a little over the specs. The SQL server is on a separate VM with double the SQL 2005 specs running SQL 205. The VM with the Orion, website, and alerting died and had to be recovered. since then report scheduler does not send out he scheduled reports but the alerts still send out using the same info. I have checked all of the services and they are all runing. After making a good backup of the website, maps folders, alerts, reports...etc. I completely uninstalled Orion, rebooted the Server, re-applied windows 2003 Server Service packs (rebooted again), then reinstalled Orion. I then created a test report, scheduled it to be sent by e-mail to a few test users but it still would not send reports. I created a few test alerts using the same login info and settings as the report schedule and fired the alerts using the test fire button and by triggering the alert by disconnecting the test router, alerts still work fine. As far as i can tell, all windows services, orion service, and settings are correct. Does anyone have any ideas on a next step for getting the reports to send again. Yes, you can go to the web console and pull all of the reports with NO errors.

Have you checked to see if your anti virus software is blocking the mail?
Just a thought.

Next thought:
Check the RunOrionJob.Log file for error messages; such as Access is denied (authentication errors for the userID being used in the job)
If your using passthru authentication I would recheck that it is working still.

Hope that helps

Sorry, i meant o state above that everyting between the alerts and reports are the same, even the smtp port number and the alerts work.

I have checked the RunOrionJob.Log and am not getting any Access Denied messages. And i am not using passthrou authentication yet.

Also, i have found the problem less that 2 min ago. The only fix was to install NPM Service Pack 3.

Thanks for the help.
