I have finally make the NCM Configuration wizard Works.

The process is to :

  1. uninstall the NCM APplication
  2. Export the Solardwinds.net folder that is in windows registry
  3. remove the solarwinds.net folder in the windows registry
  4. Delete the Solarwinds folder in the program files
  5.  reinstall the NCM Application
  6. replace the Serial Number created in the windows regestry by the former one so you can still use the key that you had. (You will find the former serial number and the key in the exported Solarwinds.net folder)
  7. run NCM configuration wizards

Kawibi,  I don't believe we've seen this one before.   Please open a support ticket and include the details of the error you received.

I found the process by Kawibi worked great.

If you have NPM running, the step #3 will removed all NPM settings. If you want to keep NPM settings, here are the refined steps from Kawabi process:

  1. uninstall the NCM APplication
  2. Export the Solardwinds.net folder that is in windows registry
  3. remove the Configuration Manager folder in solarwinds.net folder in the windows registry
  4. (don't need this step: Delete the Solarwinds folder in the program files )
  5.  reinstall the NCM Application
  6. (dont' need this step: eplace the Serial Number created in the windows regestry by the former one so you can still use the key that you had. (You will find the former serial number and the key in the exported Solarwinds.net )folder)
  7. run NCM configuration wizards
