Hey all,

Im new to ipMonitor and had a question..

Basically i have a webpage that goes down sometimes once a week sometime once a day completely random. My question is how can i run an IISRESET when the expected title from the http / asp monitor does not display?

Ive tried just restarting the IIS admin but i need to do a full IISRESET.

Hi Mcabral,

Simply use the External Process Action to run IISreset.exe with the [servername] switch.  In order to accomplish this, you will need to ensure that iisreset.exe is on the ipMonitor system.

More on the External Process Action is available on page 175 of the Administrator's Guide at

http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ipMonitor/docs/ipMonitorAdministratorGuide.pdf

and some helpful troubleshooting steps in case you run into any issues here:

Hope this helps.
