Policy Violations Report Times out (NCM 5.5)

Every time we try to run one of the policy violation reports, the website times out.

What can we do?

I click on Compliance, then Cisco Reports, then Cisco Policy Report.

The end result is always the same, no matter which report I am picking.

"System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out"

FYI, this is also the case when I click on the Traps menu of Orion.

Hi,

Can you run smoothly the reports from the win32 app?

Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion Network Configuration Manager > Orion NCM Policy Reporter .

 

 

The web console log file is located there:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\Cirrus\Logging\CirrusWeb.log

You might see more information inside it about your issue.

 

Is the SolarWinds NCM Polling Service hammering the CPU?

Could you restart it and see if it helps?

I am having the exact same issue.  The win32 app works great, but that log file doesn't exist on my server. 

There is no Cirrus directory under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\   though. 

Smaller reports do show up for example HIPAA security reports only show 7 enrites. That one show up fine.  One policy violation shows 261 critical. That one times out.  What else can be done to fix this?

Same problems, along with everything else being slow. I am opening yet another ticket.
