I'm trying to get an e-mail job of some reports working in Report Scheduler. I've done some research and found the log file; it is saying 'Error downloading web page from... Access is denied.' However when I attempt to log in to the web console with the specified credentials I can view the report just fine.

I started out with these type problems myself and here's what I ended up with to fix my problems. MAYBE it will help your situation.

I created a sub-folder in REPORTS just for those reports which will be 'emailed' - this is where I save those EMAIL ONLY reports.

Then I created an seperate login account for just emails - EMAILERxxx (whatever...)

Then as I build a scheduled report I use this account and that folder. You have to navigate to the report plus log in and save this in the scheduled report.

This setup has been solid for almost two years now. I hope I've explained it well enough for you to try it.  It works for me...

Good Luck!

If nobody has any information on how to fix this issue, does anyone have any different ideas on how to e-mail reports?

What part of this solution is the actual fix? Is it creating a dedicated login or putting the reports in a sub-folder? Also how do you specify the folder for the Report Scheduler? When I go to build a job in report scheduler it is only allowing me to pick a web page. Am I doing something wrong?

the login...you can probably go without the sub-folder if it makes sense for you.

I am using the built-in admin account because we have pass through authentication setup. Even when I specify the Orion account credentials it doesn't seem to be working.

Hmmmmm. we don't use the pass-through feature - i can't help with that one...sorry about that.

these Orion scheduled reports are inserted into the Windows SCHEDULE interface (in Control Panel). you should see any you've created in that area.

have you tried working from that perspective to test it? or perhaps delete it and re-create it if it is the only one you're having problems with. you can test by doing a RUN NOW.

One thing I am noticing is that when I built the job I specified to add Orion credentials to the URL, however when I view the job log it only has the direct URL.
