I just upgraded to version 3.5 and I like what I see. There are no "security" enhancements, so that is where my wish list is coming from....

1. SNMPv3 Support
2. Allow file transfers using a secure protocol like SCP. (we're not allowed to directly log into a device, however we can transfer the config via SNMPv3 using a secure protocol)
3. Separate login credentials for connecting to device and authentication to a device (seehttp://www4.solarwinds.net/SolarWindsForum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3264). This could be resolved with #1 and #2 being implemented :-)

BETTER SEARCHING!! We need to be able to search for patterns and for missing commands like in Cisco Works.

Just an FYI, you can use the Policy Reporter to search for missing commands within configurations.

The Policy reporter does work, but if it takes a long time to setup compared to just doing a quick search. You should also be able to take the results of a policy search and perform a config job on them.

The ability to search through any collected data. Right now, I'm forced to use Excel because a SQL query is 10x more powerful than Cirrus Policy Reporting.

The ability to add conditions in the command script. For instance, if flash equals this size then check for IOS revision level then if true, download new version.

The ability to add timers to the mix. Whenever I want to ensure that I'm doing a reboot after all commands have taken, I need to buffer the time.

F5 BigIP support would be big for a lot of people, but I can imagine that would take a lot of additional development.

FYI, creating new device types is not too difficult. For the F5 BIGIPs, it should be easy enough to create a new F5 Device Type, then configure the 'bigpipe' commands in the device type file.
