I saw web page problems after upgrading to v8.1 - specifically with the Alerts, Reports, Syslog and Events pages.

After I tried this hotfix update those pages started working properly - however it broke ALL the other pages (like top 10, node details etc)

The error I get is -

"Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0400'

Expected statement

/NetPerfMon/View.asp, line 3 "

My server is using Port 80 - however it has 2 NIC cards (on different un-connected subnets) and the server is set to run on [all unassigned].

Anything I can do to get this working again?
Thanks, Sean

Actually - scratch that - I realised I hadn't upgraded the NetFlow to v2.1 - after that upgrade everything seems to work now - even without the hotfix installed.

Denny,

Shouldn't this be done on your Hot Stand-by server as well?

Just checking...

Yes, you should hotfix everything with a web server.

If after installing this hotfix, you run the congif wizard, and it re-creates the website, will it overwrite the new netperfmon.asp file with the old one that didn't work except on port 80?

Yes.  You would have to re-apply the hotfix.  We're working on a more permanent solution.

Even with the website hotfix, the Traps.asp page still doesn't work.  I get the following error:

 Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0400'

Expected statement

/NetPerfMon/Traps.asp, line 3

The traps.asp file in C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\NetPerfMon appears to contain a bunch of garbage text in it.
 Please advise.

The traps.asp problem is one we have found with upgrades.  The work-around is to go into c:\program files\solarwinds\orion and delete the file TrapServer-Website.zip.  Then rerun the website portion of the configuration wizard.

This is a file we left sitting around by accident- it should be deleted on upgrade.  It does not need to be there anymore and is causing your problem with the Traps.asp page.  We will fix this in the next release.
