    Beta for application port monitoring and TCP port monitoring

    As promised, we are working on a new application performance monitoring module for Orion leveraging technology from the ipMonitor acquisition.  This module will provide the ability to do custom TCP port monitoring (status and response time) and we'll also provide several standard Monitors by default (e.g. HTTP).  We'll also offer reporting.

    We plan to start beta testing this summer.  If you are interested, please let us know!

    We would like to BETA this when it is ready. We currently use the latest version of Orion with Netflow, Wireless, and Application packs. We also are running the current version of Cirrus.

    Thanks everyone for you interest in the APM BETA program!!  We've reached capacity for the program and won't be able to accept any additional participants at this time. 

    We won't kick off this program for another couple of weeks, but I will be contacting everyone on this thread.  

    FYI, our plan is to start with a web-based preview of the APM prototype through GoToMeeting within the next month and then later a formal beta build that you'll be able to test at your site.
