I'd like to see ICMP nodes called "ICMP" personally.

patwill66:

The only Unknown devices I have are devices that do not support SNMP and I only ping them.  Could there be a label created for these device types that said something like "SNMP Not Supported"?  That way they would not show up unknown.

NPM, NCM, Netflow, APM

I've logged them, but what version are you running of Orion?  Are they showing as unknown with 9.5?

In 9.5 how the heck are we suppose to copy the SySObjectID.  That suckers a long number and I have several devices to list.

Probably my least favorite change with 9.5 (besides all the bugs).  The inability to edit nodes in the NMP System Manager.  Eveything wants to go to a webpage... and since the web page has become so slow, it is now an ordeal to do anything within NPM.

so, how do I copy the SySObjectID for you?

Thanks.

I have two boxes a Juniper SSL VPN box and a Juniper UAC both come up as Linux boxes in NPM. The System OID that Orion is seeing are listed below.

Juniper SSL VPN

System OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.250.255

Juniper UAC

System OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.250.255

The Juniper UAC was based off the SSL VPN box and seem to have the same MIB file from Juniper.

The Juniper MIB seems to start at OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.12532 for both devices. I can E-mail the MIB file if needed.
