Does the Wireless Module supports Aruba APs and the Aruba Controller? If not... Are you guys planning to do so?
We are moving from Cisco APs to a complete Aruba Wireless infrastructure and we would like to keep using the Orion Wireless Module to monitor the infrastructure.
Thanks,
Jose
No support at this time. We haven't made any firm decisions about whether to extend support to Aruba.

Thanks for the quick answer.
Please add Aruba APs and Aruba Controller Support to your long list of user feature requests.

Denny, is Aruba support in the plans yet? In v9 hopefully? We also are primarily an Aruba shop and the Wireless module has been pretty much useless?

The Wireless Network Monitor is separate from v9. As for plans for Aruba, we're considering what to do. Specifically, our newest product manager, Andy McBride, is considering what to do, so I'll let him respond.

Ok, thanks Denny. I should have said, the next version of Wireless Monitor that will be paired with v9.
rgward,
Aruba and possible a couple of other vendors support is high on my list of additional functionality for the next version of WNM. Note that WNM versions are not attached to Orion version launches. Orion will launch a new version soon and WNM will be sometime after that. I don't have a published schedule at this time. The good news is that Orion's new release will include a universal device poller you can use to poll equipment which is otherwise not supported.
Andy
Thanks for the positive news Andy! Looking forward to the next version of WNM and v9 UDP.

Has there been any movement on this yet? We run an exclusive aruba wireless shop (over 4000 AP's and 1800 controllers) Very happy with Solarwinds with all else, but need this to get into being supported. Any timetable for it?
Hi Mike,
It is on my roadmap but I can't discuss a timetable at this point.
If you have those devices you could MIB walk them and see if the MIB is present. I don't have access to them here.
Looks like Aruba took out SNMP on the APs on version 3.3.x to make room for more of the boot image. User data can be pulled off the controllers with the aruba-user.my MIBs but there isn't support for 802.11 MIB. Guess we'll have to wait for Solar Winds to program this into Orion before it will work.
