Is it possible to change the separator when making a export ?

When we export all Cisco Hardware "Inventory - Physical Entities", we have a problem that there are "comma" in the export data

We tray to change the separator in "Regions Setting" with no look :-(

We like to use ; in steed.

you could always export the csv and open text editor and do a find/replace for the ';".

This is not a option as there are other , in my export data :-(

My work around is export to excel and from there export to csv

There is "Customize Regional Options - List separator" working ;-)

Now Solarwinds Cirrus v3.5.1 just need to use normal Windows behaver !

Our current export options are as follows:

  • comma delimited file
  • Excel
  • text file
  • html
  • mhtml
  • image file
  • PDF

Can you please let me know which method you are using to export the Physical Entities report and provide a screenshot of the output of the export?  This should help me to better understand your comma issue.

Thank you for the clarification.  The export to comma delimited file will always separate the fields by commas.  I will add a feature request to be able to export to a csv file where the separators are based off the Regional Settings List Seperator setting.

May be a stupid suggestion, but the exported data has quotes around the commas.  Couldn't you just find and replace the following string:

","

with:

";"

?
