Can Application Monitor do much without SNMP

We have a copy of Orion 8.51 with the latest Application Monitor. Most of the servers don't have an SNMP agent installed and there's some reluctance to install it. Is there anything App Mon can do without SNMP?

    Nope.

Why is there reluctance to install SNMP? It comes standard with almost every OS, and on Windows the installation does not require a reboot.

The upcoming Application Performance Monitor (which will replace AM) will do a fair bit via WMI, but even that tool will leverage SNMP to some extent.

I see... I just wanted to make sure installing SNMP was our only option before I pressed the issue.

APM will be releasing shortly, and SNMP won't be a big deal anymore.
