    Hello all, I didn't notice a special section for syslogs so I posted here, sorry if this is the wrong section. I am tring to launch the Syslog Server from the engineers tool set, and each time I launch it to try and configure it I keep getting " Cannot start Syslog Daemon, Port 514 is already bound to another process. You will not be able to recieve Syslog messages" I dont have another syslog server on the box so I am kind of confused here, any and all help is welcome.

     Try using a tool like TCPView from SysInternals (now Microsoft) to view what application is using that port.  (Despite it's name, it does show open UDP ports).
