Orion Network Performance Monitor 9.0 is now available

We are pleased to announce the release of Orion Network Performance Monitor 9.0.  Orion NPM 9.0 is the latest, greatest version of NPM.  The two big features are the new Universal Device Poller and Web-based administration.

The Universal Device Poller (UnDP) replaces and enhances the old Custom MIB Poller.  It's easier to use, more scalable, it can poll MIB tables, and it allows you to transform your polled results.  And it's backwards compatible with all of your existing custom pollers.

Web-based administration allows you to add, remove, and edit nodes, interfaces, and volumes from the web console.  As a side benefit, it provides the ability to multi-select, group, and delegate admin functionality.

We have a number of other features, a few of which include:

    • New improved look for graphs and gauges
    • Built-in Thwack resource
    • Admins can add customer text to the login page
    • Allows administrators to hide module links on the menu bar
    • Forward Traps and Syslog and retain the source IP Address of the original device
    • Active Alerts resource will show alerts from APM and VoIP Monitor
    • New look for the Admin view
    • Support for variables in the Custom HTML resource

To find out more, check out the Release Notes, which, as always, are full of useful info.http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/ReleaseNotes/releaseNotes.htm
