We have several end-users responsible for different servers. I'd like to present each of them with a unique 'All Applications' view (\Solarwinds\Orion\APM\Resources\Summary\AllApplications).
At the moment, the page allows me to sort by Node Name and other criteria, but I'd like to specify a particular node grouping using a custom property (eg, 'email', 'telephony', etc) such that the e-mail admin would see only 'email' nodes and their associated applications.
Is there any way to wildcard this, or to somehow amend the page to show ONLY the nodes I specify, rather than every node in various groupings?
Not yet, but it's something we plan to address in the next version.
Actually, when you get APM 2.0, there will be a new resource called Critical Applicaitons. It will let you use SQL-like filtering that should let you customize it to do what you want.
That's good news. Any idea when APM 2.0 might be out?
You probably don't want to hear me say "soon", so instead, I'll say this: very soon.
Denny,
Can you narrow down the release of APM 2.0 to Q3 2008 or Q4 2008?
Thanks...
