We are running Orion 9 SLX. We have some network interfaces that push allot of bandwidth through them 200M + constantly. The graphs on these charts shows lots of gaps in data. The lower bandwidth interfaces the charts show fine. This happens on various switch and router interfaces.
Could this be a calculation issue with SNMP?
Any ideas?
this could be the device is busy.
SNMP is considered low priority on most all devices and if it comes down to respond to SNMP or route a packet....routing wins, and most will agree we like it like that.
If this is rampant on your devices then you might want to look at the devices and see how bad the processor/memory situation is on them and if appropriate tell managment that it is time to upgrade them.
The processor/memory utilizations are low.
Other lower bandwidth interfaces are not showing this problem on the same device.
