    Display community strings

It would be nice to be able to display the community string assosicated with a node in the IP address management tool.

The IP Address Management tool relies on PING only to test the availability of an IP address, so SNMP community strings would not be interrogated to determine which community strings matches with which node.  That said, we do have a tool that seems do what you want.  IP Network Browser allows you to specify a list of community strings and then scan a subnet to show details about the devices in that subnet (including matching community string).   Each IP address is sent a PING. For each responding address, IP Network Browser attempts to gather more information via SNMP by trying each of the community strings you provided until it finds a match.

I second this as a much needed feature. It would be great if the IP address management tools would display the community string.

In reply to the comment that it only uses ICMP, you may want to actually use your product before posting such comments.
