    How do YOU LANservey??

So on a whim we bought LANsuveyor today. What I'm wondering is how do you run LANsurveyor? Do you put it on a server and have it continually update, or do you load it on your workstation and use as needed? Did you load the NEON responder client onto your windows servers? Being new to the product I'm interested to know how the members of the Thwack community use the product, and see the products value so I might have a better understanding of how best to utilize it.

We didn't buy it but are looking at it and at first glance I'm a little concerned.  The maps still need a lot of user manipulation to make use of them.  By default things are jumbled all over the page in no fashion.

I agree. It does require a considerable amount of time to get a map to look legible and presentable.

We have a short document called Customizing LANsurveyor Maps which is available in the Start menu for LANsurveyor version 10.2 and is available athttp://www.solarwinds.com/support/lansurveyor/docs/CustomizingLANsurveyorMaps.pdf that describes several methods for customizing your map.
