I recently upgraded my Nortel 5520 and 5510 switches to use SSH instead of telnet. Now, I can't get Cirrus to connect to any of them using SSH. I am using v4.0.1. Below is the trace from one of the devices....I just get connection refused. I know SSH works because I can get into them fine using a terminal client.
-->StateChange: Connecting to server<--Solarwinds.Net SWTelnet9 Version 9.0.27Connected!-->StateChange: Disconnected from server<--Disconnected - From: 10.105.14.6Disconecting
Can you go the the device details screen and ensure that SSH Auto is selected as your method of communication?
I've tried Auto, SSH1 and SSH2 with the same results. I know that the switches use SSH2 though.
Did you or anyone get SSH with Nortel 5510/5520 to work? Most of the time I get "Connection Refused". But sometimes it is able to connect. However, it doesn't get any farther than the initial login. With the 5520 you login to SSH then must do a Ctrl-Y.
No. All I've heard from SolarWinds for the last 2 months is that the developers are "working on it". So basically Cirrus is useless to me for the last two months......
There is a fix for this issue. Did you receive any zip files to replace some dll files in the Cirrus directory with your open ticket? Let me know and I can get them re-sent.
I never received those and would appreciate them. Thanks
They should have been attached to all the support tickets with that particular test track. Please double check the ticket and or mail filters for any attachments sent. I believe this went out a few days ago.
The last email I got on Tuesday was:

Ticket number 42064
ahh ok..I've pulled it up and see it was sent by Benjamin -My guess is the zip was probably snagged somewhere- I'll attach it in a subsequent post..
Extract the zip and put the .dll files in the Cirrus install directory which by default is C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Configuration Management. If the files already exist replace them with the new .dll files. Hopefully this should resolve the issue.
Thanks. Our email filter probably blocked it. I will try this and see if it resolves the issue.
I'm still getting the same situation as before. Session trace:
-->StateChange: Connecting to server<--Solarwinds.Net SWTelnet9 Version 9.0.27Connected!-->StateChange: Disconnected from server<--Disconnected - From: 10.105.x.xDisconecting
ugghh. ok, I'll pass this on the the developers.
Could you please attach the packet capture for your SSH session in addition to the Cirrus session traces to your original support ticket. Thanks
Any news on this? I find it hard to justify paying for something that won't work :/
Looking into this now...

Update: The investigation of the sniffer traces was completed yesterday. Please review the case for further details.
