I am currently experiencing an issue with discovering the Active Directory elements within LanSurveyor.
I have scanned a part of our LAN, installed responders and used Domain Administrator authentication credentials for Active Directory.
When I open a scanned PC and attempt to open the Active Directory Data I am shown the following message :
No Active Directory Computer Data was returned.
The node's domain name or computer name could not be found in any Domain Controller or LANsurveyor was unable to authenticate to any Active Directory domain. Please check this map's Acrive Directory authentication credentials by editing the default Active Directory DC authentication credentials in the new map dialog (File>New).
As mentioned in the Authentication section before discovery I have defined our Domain Name, Administrator and admin password and defined the IP of the Domain Controller to no avail.
Active Directory only allows one user to be logged into a domain at a time from any given system. Therefore, if you are already logged into a domain as the LANsurveyor user and you would like to discover that domain, make sure that user has Domain Administrator access and select "Use current user's credentials" option.
