I have several Nortel 8600's I'd like to get netflow data from, but I can't get Solarwinds to see the packets. Using Wireshark on the Solarwinds server I can see that the netflow packets are arriving and I am able to monitor several Cisco routers without issue. Has anyone else been able to get Solarwinds to see Nortel netflow packets?

Are you using ipfix capable blades ? That's a R suffix on the blade model #.

Be aware Nortel is not supported in the Engineer's Toolset v10 Netflow module

Yes, however the answer is that Solarwinds doesn't support ipfix at this time. There is apparently some hope that this might be done in the next version as recently I was contacted by Solarwinds and asked to provide a packet capture from my 8600 sending ipfix packets.

I did mention in my original post that I could see the netflow/ipfix packets being sent by the Nortel 8600 using wireshark.

We are workingon IPFIX support. I can't share any dates at this time.

I have been hearing that Nortel charges a recurring support cost to enable IPFIX export. Being that you folks are Nortel shops I'm wondering if this is the case for you.

I believe that they have just gone GA with a new release of the 55xx code that has IPFix as a part of the base license. Get with it SW! I'm looking elsewhere for my flow analysis!
