    Netflow problem with big traffic

    NTA 2.1 with all hotfixes; SQL 2005 EE 64 bit (located on different server); daily traffic counted by NTA is about 160 GB. Server on which Orion is installed - 2xXeon 2.4Ghz, 4GB RAM. Only 1 Netflow source.

    NTA doesn't show all data when I select time range more than few hours.

    It shows all when:

    1) Time range is small - "Last 15 minutes", "Last hour" works fine.

    2) "Top XX transmitters", "Top XX receivers" - XX=5, but it's definitely not enough - we need to see at least top 25 downloaders.

     

    When I try to view data with conditions not satisfied with mentioned above, NTA shows "No protocol traffic information available for the selected time period.", "No application traffic information available for the selected time period.", "No endpoint traffic information available".
     

    We need to analyze traffic by previous day, sometimes by previous week but NTA can't help us at all.

    Please open a Support ticket.  You should be able to see all the data in this circumstance.  If you are hitting a bug, we'll want to collect some detailed diagnostics from you to help resolve the problem.

     One week is passed, and we didn't have any solution. Support team just confirmed that there's a bug and they'll submit it to be fixed. Traffic monitoring is very critical for our business but we cannot perform this task at all!

    SolarWinds Orion Netflow Traffic Analyzer stopped working 19 August at 8:20:00 PM. I've sent a letter to support team and have no response yet.
    I repeat again and again that monitoring traffic is a business critical task for us!
    Our previous request was not resolved, new version was not released as your support engineer promised.
    Orion NTA can not satisfy our business needs and we didn't get any real support. Doesn't it mean that we spent company's money in vain?
