I ran the Windows Performance Monitor against our Orion pollers for the past three days and came up with these results:
Main SLX poller rides around 20, and peaks at 41
Poller 2 rides around 30 and peaks at 157
Poller 3 rides around 26 and peaks at 155
You typically hear that you shouldn't go much above 1.
Has anyone else had similar results? Thanks.
% Processor Time on SLX main poller - Avg 10, Max 40% Processor Time on SLX remote poller - Avg 3, Max 18
I can't find any stats for processor queue length, just disk queue length...
It is located under System.
Of course, how silly of me to think that M$ would put processor stats under the Processor heading....
BTW, I found a whole bunch of Orion polling performance counters which I'm just checking out now.I found one called Orion Node poller on my main SLX 8.1 server, but the counter performance object does not exist on my SLX 8.1 remote poller.Very strange indeed....
