About Patrick Hubbard
I'm the technical product marketing manager at SolarWinds, (which basically means I'm a geek in the services of marketing). When I say geek I mean Geek, with extreme prejudice. I started writing assembly on my Apple II+ when I was 11, got my first BITNET email account in 1984, ran a BBS @ 300 baud, survived X.25, first website in 1993, abused Token Ring, had Netscape.com showcase a JavaScript website 1996, and as of 2008 a weekend hack from my years at American still powers the flight notification service on aa.com. This of course made me quite the chick magnet for many years. Among other things I make the online demo go and am always looking for new and more fiendish ways to use our products- just like our customers. Companies like American Airlines, Sun Microsystems, and a couple of startups along the way have just made my addiction worse.
