Process Monitors by CPU Load - Please explain
Hello, I am trying to make sense of this section in APM. I am monitoring some processes that say they use up 98% of CPU, however on the monitored server the CPU load is very low. Is the application running within a certain segment of the CPU, and this is telling me how much of that segment is being used...

Selecting processes to monitor
When dealing with custom applications under the old version of AM I was able to hit the applications button on the node details tab and bring up all the applications currently running on the node. I could then select the processes I wanted to monitor and be done. Under this new APM I can not find a place...

Problems with SERVER, SQL DBs and Best Practices
We are trying to get APM up and running but I am having problems with some services and I would also like a 'best practices' answer. 1. We are trying to monitor the SERVER service. The service lists the executable as: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs. How do you monitor this with SNMP...

Re: AM to APM migration utility problem
Thanks guys. I have put notes in the ticket and I should be able to do this regression method to resolve the issue this coming Sunday. I hope the Release notes are updated asap to make the upgrade path clear to customers. As an aside about the Support efforts: I hope that the Support team would also...

Re: AM to APM migration utility problem
So then why this in the Release Notes for APM2.0? I would expect Solarwinds to support this product as we upgraded to it today based on this information in the release notes. A support case was opened (#58741) and was replied to and closed without anyone actually calling or confirming with me. "Thank...

Gauges for Statistical Data from WMI Performance Counter Objects
Hi, After having upgraded recently to APM V2, I found a way of getting a graph of the statistical data generated by a WMI performance counter object, but is there a way I can use a gauge rather than a graph for the data? For example, we have several citrix servers, and I wanted to have a gauge of the...

Re: Process Monitors by CPU Load - Please explain
Did you get to the bottom of this? I am running into the same issue monitoring CPU load on RedHat servers using SNMP. Same issue in both AM and APM.
