INTERNAL ERROR. Could not Create log file
We are demo'ing Orion. Orion Demo 8.5.1 is up and running. Services are up and running. I'm logged in as an Admin. When I run the Application Monitor (Demo) Exectutable, after the Install Shield starts up, I get an error message: "INTERNAL ERROR. Could not Create log file. Setup will now...

SNMPv3 Error
I've found that the application pack does not use the SNMPv3 credentials to poll the running apps, but for some unexplicable reason defaults to SNMPv1 to do so even when you have defined the node to use the v3 credentials. Essentially I have to use SNMPv3 the the bulk of the monitoring but the application...

Re: Upgrade License?
Upgrade license? We beta'd APM, have an active AM maintenance agreement and heard nothing about an upgrade path. Our sales rep hasn't mentioned anything about it either ... but was happy to give us a quote for a few thousand $$. On top of that, we tested the final RC on our production system...

Re: Upgrade License?
I've had the worst possible service from Customer Service this week regarding the new APM. It took four calls to customer service to get them to update our portal with the new APM. The first three calls they did incorrect things like reset the license for the v8 Application Monitor. The fourth call...

Process Monitors by CPU Load - Please explain
Hello, I am trying to make sense of this section in APM. I am monitoring some processes that say they use up 98% of CPU, however on the monitored server the CPU load is very low. Is the application running within a certain segment of the CPU, and this is telling me how much of that segment is being used...

Selecting processes to monitor
When dealing with custom applications under the old version of AM I was able to hit the applications button on the node details tab and bring up all the applications currently running on the node. I could then select the processes I wanted to monitor and be done. Under this new APM I can not find a place...

How to monitor "Terminal Services"?
I would like to use Application Monitor to monitor Terminal Services. However, Terminal Services shows up as the SVCHOST.EXE service which appears multiple times. (I guess specifically is runs as "svchost.exe -k termsvcs"). Is there a way to monitor Terminal Services? Thank you.

Problems with SERVER, SQL DBs and Best Practices
We are trying to get APM up and running but I am having problems with some services and I would also like a 'best practices' answer. 1. We are trying to monitor the SERVER service. The service lists the executable as: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs. How do you monitor this with SNMP...
