  • How far does a MIB Walk walk?

I've been playing around with MIB Walk to walk the SNMP tree for a target device and dump the value of each OID. We have private enterprise set of OIDs that are not included in your pre-compiled MIB db. From what I understand of MIB Walk, it should show me all the OIDs that are supported on a particular...

  • Getting serial numbers into node details & reports

Hi All, I've enabled the custom MIB poller to cover the 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.2.19 (chassisSerialNumberString) and I can pick it up fine by adding the "custom poller status" section into the node webpage. However, I can't find any method to show this in the "node details" element...

  • Associate New MIB to Standard Graphs/Guages

I just downloaded the newest MIB compliation from the Solarwinds site and imported it into our Orion 8.5 setup. It added a number of MIBs for our 3Com switches over the MIB compliation we were using, including CPU and Memory information. I was wondering if there was some way to have Orion associate that...

  • TrippLite UPS Systems

This is a custom poller for most TrippLite UPS Systems. It contains Battery Status, Last Battery Replacement Date, Charge Remaining, Output Load, Input / Output Voltages, Model, Output Source, and Last Self Test Date. It uses a combination of TrippLite specified OIDs, and generic ones.

  • Netbotz support in version 9

Is there any addiotnal support for Netbotz in version 9? I had already setup custom MIBs in 8 to monitor sensors and the email I received about the upgrade made it seem their was direct support for them meaning something other that selecting custom MIBs. By direct support I was assuming it would pull...

  • SNMP Traps with Orion v9 vs Engineer Toolset

Hi, I've setup SNMP traps from a Certificate Authority (Entrust CA software application) OID=1.3.6.1.4.1.7143.2.1. I can see this OID when browsing with Engineer Toolset SNMP Trap Editor but cannot see this OID when I browse with Orion v9 Trap Viewer. Q1. Do these two applications (Orion and Engineer...

  • Copy to Windows Clipboard not enabled in Evaluation?

I was walking the MIBs in the "Select OID" area of the conditional statements when creating an alert. I selected the MIB I wanted and attempted to copy the OID and got the following popup: Copying to the Windows Clipboard is not enabled in the Evaluation version. You will need to purchase a...

  • Re: Toolset V9 Port Mapper

We are having the exact same problem. I called this morning and gave up waiting on the phone for support after 20 minutes. Opened a ticket this morning and I have yet to hear from them. I feel like we flushed $1200.00 down the drain.

  • Re: MIB compiler ?

I don't think there is a tool so we can compile our own MIBs. I think you have to send the MIB to support@solarwinds.com . They package it and put it in the db later.
