Advanced alerts: Bytes to MB/GB ?

I would like to replicate low disk space alerts from basic to advanced (So I can filter using custom properties) . I would like our Dev team to get alerts for DEV servers, apps for apps servers, etc. I have the query setup and working properly, but the only values that I can send in an alert is Bytes...

SNMP Stops Responding On Linux Host When Monitoring Volumes

If I try to monitor disk volumes using the default management MIB on Linux systems, the SNMP agent will stop responding after a few minutes. I have read in some places where this is a net-snmp issue, but I am hoping that maybe there is some work around to this. Thanks, Bo

Functional db monitoring at the data level

Is there a way to monitor database activity at the data level? For example, when the rowcount of table is exceeded? If APM cannot do such evaluation (i probably wouldnt want it selecting directly from a table anyways), can APM monitor the resultset of a stored procedure that did the actual rule execution...

SNMP snmpTrapOID = SNMPv2-MIB:authenticationFailure

I see many of these Traps in my system. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is it a misconfiguration of the SNMP settings on devices? Should I create an SNMP account in the Active Directory and use this for the logon instead of the Local System Account? Just wondering if someone knows the answer. BTW...

MIB for outgoing SNMP traps

Hi, we've integrating orion with openview. I've managed to forward alerts to openview but haven't been able to find the MIB to decipher them. could someone point me in the right direction for this? Thanks, bryan

I don't think there is a way to simply monitor via SNMP in Orion. Couldn't you just edit an access list and allow snmp traffic from the server running Orion only?
