Re: Restricting Client Access to One Page Only
I have this same complaint and unfortunately, there is no way around it natively in Orion. All it takes is a bit of sleuthing and the customer can have access to all sorts of pages that he/she shouldn't have access to. It is possible that you could put file-level permissions on the Events.asp page...

Re: Feature Request
In addition to the above feature request, there are a few more which have just come to light and have some serious security implications. We are currently undergoing a PCI Compliance review and the following points came up during our reviewer's inspection of Cirrus. His comments were, "For what...

Can I get a report on unauthorised access attempts on a cisco Pix from Cirrus?
I am in the process of evaluating Cirrus Config Manager and I wanted to know if it is possible to create a report on unauthorised access attempts to a Cisco Pix? At present I do not have a method for analysing log data from the Pix. Thanks in advance for your help

Re: Feature Request
Hi Harvey, I'm also going through an audit and the sql admins are telling me that having Cirrus connect with the SA account is a security violation. Apparently they are ok with using SA during the install when the DB is being created, but not for regular access. We had this same issue with Orion...

LANsurveyor Active Directory Authentication issue
I am currently experiencing an issue with discovering the Active Directory elements within LanSurveyor. I have scanned a part of our LAN, installed responders and used Domain Administrator authentication credentials for Active Directory. When I open a scanned PC and attempt to open the Active Directory...

After NCM upgrade only able to login with basic credentials.
I upgraded cirrus to NCM today and am only able to log in as an engineer (I think). What did I do wrong? The NCM manager asks for a user name and password and I am using my AD account (the one I used when upgrading the software). Once I log in, Security is greyed out and states that "This account...
